About

Welcome! I am Jessie Zhu (it is pronounced as “droo”.  If you don’t feel you get it right don’t worry – this is supposedly one of the most difficult Chinese surnames to pronounce!)

I work with leaders, teams, and women navigating change — not just the kind you can name, but the deeper shifts that ask for courage, clarity, and a return to self.

Who I Am

I’m Jessie — a Leadership coach, consultant, systemic practitioner, experience designer and space-holder for people and systems in transition.

I help leaders, teams, and women reconnect with their inner clarity, navigate complexity, and lead with more presence, authenticity, and trust in themselves. My work lives at the intersection of personal transformation and organisational change.

Born in China, based in the UK, I carry the threads of migration, cultural duality, and ancestral voice into my work. I’ve lived the arc of external success and internal questioning — from investment banking to talent development, executive leadership development, to now guiding others through their own transitions.

My Approach

With over 20 years’ experience in leadership, learning and development, and organisational transformation, I bring a rare combination of corporate depth, psychological insight, and a calm, grounded presence.

Clients come to me when something important is shifting — but they can’t yet name it.
They’re holding complexity, navigating change, or sensing that their current way of leading no longer fits. What they’re seeking isn’t more strategy — it’s a shift in how they show up.

That’s where I come in.

I work systemically, intuitively, and practically — creating space for the deep work that unlocks new ways of seeing, being, and leading. This might look like:

  • Reconnecting to your inner compass and voice
  • Navigating a leadership or life transition with presence
  • Healing patterns that no longer serve you
  • Holding space for coherence in the midst of chaos
  • Stepping into a new role, power, or way of being

I blend coaching, systemic thinking, and reflective practice to help clients move forward not just with a plan, but with alignment.

My Professional Background

I’ve worked in financial services, executive education, and organisational change consultancy. Before starting my coaching practice, I held senior leadership roles in leadership development and transformation. I understand the realities of high-stakes environments — and the toll they can take on our sense of self.

I hold Master’s degrees in Finance from London Business School, and in Applied Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology from the University of East London. I’m trained in systemic leadership coaching and constellatoin, psychosynthesis leadership coaching, existential coaching, transformative coaching and group coaching. I also draw on my Chinese heritage, values of ziran (自然), and lived experience of transition across cultures and identities.

What I believe in

Who I work with:

I support:
• Senior leaders and professionals navigating change, stretch roles, or misalignment
• Women ready to reclaim voice, power, and identity — especially across cultures
• Coaches and facilitators deepening their own development
• Teams in transition, seeking more relational, human-centred ways of working

Beyond the Bio

I’m a mother, daughter, and quiet disruptor. I love poetry, systems, and questions that don’t have easy answers. I believe in the power of presence, and that what we practice, we become.

I work with a global client base, and I’m currently based in the UK.
I write weekly reflections on presence, leadership, transition, and the unseen forces shaping our systems on Linkedin. You can follow me here.
